1M Visitors in the Past Month
Tourism in the Philippines is Back
Rebound from Pandemic
The Philippines has seen a surge in tourism in the past month, with over 1 million visitors arriving in the country. This is a significant increase from the previous month, when only 500,000 visitors arrived. The increase in tourism is attributed to the easing of travel restrictions and the country's successful vaccination program.
The top source of tourists was South Korea, followed by the United States and China. Most visitors stayed in the country for an average of 10 days. The most popular destinations were Manila, Cebu, and Boracay
The Department of Tourism (DOT) is optimistic that the tourism industry will continue to grow in the coming months. The DOT is promoting the Philippines as a safe and attractive destination for tourists. The DOT is also working to develop new tourism products and services.
