FC Barcelona's Champions League journey came to an abrupt end on Wednesday night as they suffered a 14-11 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their quarter-final tie. Despite winning the first leg in Paris 32-10, Barcelona failed to hold on to their advantage in front of their home crowd at the Lluís Companys stadium.
Barca's hopes of a comeback were dealt a blow early on when PSG took the lead through a Lionel Messi penalty. The Catalans fought back and managed to equalize through Ousmane Dembélé, but PSG restored their lead before half-time with a stunning goal from Kylian Mbappé.
In the second half, Barcelona pressed for an equalizer, but PSG defended resolutely and managed to hold on to their lead. The result means that PSG advance to the semi-finals, while Barcelona's European campaign is over.
